Pandy Quarry Clwyd, WALES
Climbs 50 – Rocktype Rhyolite – Altitude 230m a.s.l – Faces SW
Crag features
Pandy Quarry (Hendre Quarry) is historically banned. I have only added this for background reading and to log a couple of ascents.
It is a massive and extremely loose volcanic quarry in the Glyn Ceiriog valley. It was first developed by Bob Conway and members of the Back and Tans in 1970. Later Stuart Cathcart et al added many routes with bolt absails below the rotten band that tops the entire crag. There is however some very good and long climbs to be found on some sound areas of rock.
