Rapún is the ideal crag for hot days, as the walls only receive the sun early in the morning. The mostly vertical rock is a combination of limestone, sandstone and conglomerate.
The crag has recently been re-bolted and new solid top anchors have been set up.
The routes in the far right have long run-outs.
Rapún is made up of two sectors, which lie either side of the N330. Sector A: Nuevo lies to the west, and is the first ridge of limestone from the main road. Parking is at the foot of the crag. Sector B: Viejo lies to the east of the main road, and requires a 15 min walk from the parking spot. Climbing is banned on both sectors from 1 May - 15 July due to nesting birds.
