Castro Val Camonica, ITALY
Climbs 58 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 277m a.s.l – Faces S
Crag features
Two sectors. The R hand sector has a selection of easy slabby climbs which gradually steepen and get harder the further R you go. The L hand lower) sector (the one you meet first on the approach) is steeper and has most routes in the 6a-6c bracket.
Some polish on the easier routes but not excessive. A pleasant spot to picnic and climb with the only downside being the noise from the big factory down by the lakeside.
It also boasts a very unusual shrine showing quite clearly that Christ was a climber.
