Pulling hard in Bishop, California. © CrushUnit

Crag features

The Druid Stones are a collection of boulders reached by a long ridge path that rises steeply into the Sierra foothills just a couple of miles from the southwest edge of Bishop. Despite the close proximity to the town, there is no road to the rocks and the 30 min approach keeps the crowds away.

This is undoubtedly one of Bishop's finest little areas. There are several boulders here with immaculate patina providing some of the best ticks in the Bishop region. The Thunder Wall, the Skye Stone, the Sacrificial Boulder and the Hall of the Mountain Queen stand out as the best individual blocks for quantity and quality. Not only are the problems good, but the landings are frequently good too.
