Above the small town of Vipava, on the Southern slope of Gradiška Tura, are several scattered crags with very good rock and interesting easier routes. It is one of the few climbing areas in Slovenia which offers easier multi-pitch routes.
The rock is sound, unpolished limestone, quick to dry and bolted amply. Some of the multi-pitch routes are a little vegetated in places. Grades are a bit stiff and every buttress has some anomalies.
Park the car (free) at Campsite Tura and head along the wide, well-made tracks to the buttress of your choice. Clear signs indicate where to leave the track and follow the paths across the scree slopes to reach the climbs.
