Highest peak in the Neouvielle massif, NE of Gavarnie. Usually climbed by NE or SE ridges. Traditional route up glacier is now much harder due to glacial recession, finishing with hard chimney to reach saddle of Hourquette de Badet. This is still often abseiled in descent.
