I was at Stable Pit yesterday, not the best climbing but theres enough to make it worth the trip. The park is very easy to find and is signed from junction 22 of the M1. Ill probabbly only go back for the scenery.

Shame the problems aren't as nice as the setting and scenery. Crap, contrived problems, difficult to know where they start or go by the descriptions, dirty holds, hard grades (for VOs!!) Disappointing. You're much better off going up the track to the wishing-stone crag. That's brilliant!

Good routes on clean rock with nice flat landings. Also, some poorer problems on the North facing side. Situated in a lovely park, with some nice slabby outcrops below the memorial.
