Some went searching for snow, we went searching for sea stacks © Samuel Wainwright
The bay is dominated by the 15m high sea stack situated adjacent to the north side of the cove. The bay has numerous unclimbed cliffs of varying rock quality some being in excess of 20m. There are also several tidal blocks ~5m-10m high providing bouldering and micro routes.
Probably not worth a standalone visit, however if you're walking back from Sandwood or Am Buchaille it would make for an excellent addition to your day!
About as remote as it gets. Best approached from Sheigra following the Sandwood Bay path until Loch a' Mhuilinn is reached. Break off the path and follow the burn leaving the Lochan down towards the coast. Can also be easily seen and accessed from the north from around the cliffs above Am Buchaille.
The stack is accessible most of the time apart from at an hour or so either side of high tide.
