Crag A is a small collection of blocks hidden away on the slopes of the Agra plantation. The rock is of similar quality to that found at Slipstones and although it appears to be quite green at first it is actually pretty clean and solid so requires very little brushing to be climbed on. A lot of the blocks have uncut starts leading to a lot of crimpy roof problems of varying size.
Undisclosed location for the moment.
Approach by car as for Slipstones but park in the layby before the steep S bend, at the old red telephone box in Gollinglith Foot. Cross the road and follow the track past the farm up through the field to reach the edge of the plantation. Passing through the first metal gate into the plantation the blocks can be seen further up the hillside, there aren’t really any defined paths to the crag so it is best to try and find the a way of least resistance to the block of your choice..
**Please Note** This crag is on private land and the access situation is currently unknown. It is therefore important for climbers to keep a low profile and take extra care act responsibly and leave if challenged. It is also advised to only climb here on weekends and only visit in small numbers. If there appear to be any form of forestry work going on it is probably best to head elsewhere.**
