Highest summit in Romania at 2544m situated in the Fagaras mountain range in the Carpathians
Approach notes
Several routes to the summit from all sides with mountain huts available. Popular from the west along the spectacular ridge from Balea Lac in a 1 or 2 day hike. Access to Moldoveanu is via the very slightly lower summit of Vistea Mare 2524m. Aprroximatley 3 hours from Podragu Hut
