A distinctive, upstanding, pimple of a peak on the Glarus - St.Gallen kanton border. The normal route is a 50m scramble in a gully on the east side which is equipped with a substantial chain, justifiable due to some loose rock (particularly on the bed of the gully). Two short steep sections would be maybe UIAA II without the chain, and still give nice climbing with it. Fantastic views to all points of the compass from the summit.
The easiest approach is from Flumserberg to the north, considerably more ascent from Engi to the south.
