Rocktype Gritstone
Altitude 332m a.s.l
Faces E
A small outcrop of mostly good quality gritstone giving some pleasant easy problems. Faces East and catches any wind from the north, east or south.
There are some hard to spot Neolithic rock carvings on the top stone which is magical in low sunlight.
From Cutthroat Bridge, or the small layby further down the road, cross the road and follow the big track towards the Derwent Edges. After only a few metres take the left hand path which follows the pylons and the crag is visible above. Either follow tracks into the trees, to the slab, and over the wall, or go more directly (sometimes boggy but the worst can be avoided).
Approach time: 15-20 mins
