Terrace Wall

Climbs 57 – Rocktype Sandstone (hard) – Altitude 38m a.s.l – Faces SE

Crag features
Situated in front of the University of Nottingham's Trent Building, this clean, solid, quarried sandstone wall, provides a number of delicate, fingery climbs. The wall is set on three tiers, each a couple of metres high, with the top two tiers being the most intensely developed (the bottom tier, being immediately above the water, exacts a higher price for failure than the other two tiers, both set above paths - the only shallow water soloing the County). The two most popular problems are probably traverses of the left and right hand sections of the top tier, with the traverse of the central tier, 'New Traverse', proving a slightly more challenging prospect. Access notes
Enter campus via the North entrance on the A52 / A6514 roundabout. Follow the main drag heading towards the Trent Building in the centre - distinctive by its clock tower. Park in the pay and display car parks - free after 5pm and on weekends. Walk downhill (South) until you reach the lake. The walls are directly below the Trent Building.

Also noticed that two new benches have been installed on the main terrace directly under such problems as Wilson's Eliminate thus making the starts inaccessible and the landings a bit tricky!

Great little stamina venue, somewhat fingery lol and lovely to return after nearly 30 years! Am curious to know when the last time it was sandblasted and when the grades were last checked ... Walk Tall in particular is a bit naughty for 6a :)
