This mountain range is located about 25 km from the city of Porto, taking the A4 towards Vila Real. Valongo is perhaps the place in Portugal where people stop for the longest time. As far as we know since the 40's, the cliffs of this mountain range have been climbed. Valongo is not a place for those who want to struggle. Most routes are medium grade. But the visit to this historic place in Portuguese mountaineering is worth a visit anyway.
