Climbs 2
Rocktype Granite
Altitude 3m a.s.l
Faces NE
The rock is uncleaned and as such there may be loose rock on unclimbed areas. Similar granite to that in bulock harbour. Which is close and visible to this on the oposite side of a small bay.
The climbing begins a few metres north of the grassy area and gets higher the further north you go.
The most impressive rock is the sheer face to the northern end of the crag. Further north the rock is less continuous and forms several shutes and shelves. These have been scrambled but don't provide quality climbing.
Walk south east along the road from the forty foot swimming area to a grassy area. Turn off heare and descend onto the rocky shoreline. The crag opens up on your left.
If you continue south east 100m there are free public toilets
This crag has seen very little attention to date and no issues have arisen. Its closeness to the public amenity of the forty foot swimming area should mean locals will not mind strangers showing up with boulder pads. It may be a pleasant relief after seeing so many dry robes.
