Crag features

This particular place, called Desplom de los Pinedes, is one of the many scattered, forgotten crags in the forest around the small village of Aiguaviva. See the free "climbaround" app for photo topos of the other sectors as well. Though not tall, the crag is quite steep and looks like a breaking wave. The easy grades are super-sandbaggy so expect to be destroyed on your warm-up unless you're used to steep climbing with big moves. It is sheltered from winds from the North and the West and gets winter sun all day, which is how we ended up here in the first place. There is a lovely 12 to 15m low, 7a traverse as well which has a DWS feel to it.

Approach notes

The asphalt ends at 41.357058, 1.528336 where you can park 3 vehicles on the side. You can also drive the dirt track down to 41.355440, 1.531692, but it is only 5 minutes of walking there so why bother? From 41.355440, 1.531692, cross the field north of you and follow the most obvious trail which leads to the crag hidden behind the trees.
