Climbs 2
Rocktype Shale
Altitude 24m a.s.l
Faces W
A dangerous loose shale cliff that suffers from lots of seepage, no anchors and almost no protection!
Bases of routes are tidal and any big seas will make the climbing almost impossible
lots of lines possible, but sadly not much quality.
From the car park next to St Materisna's Church take the east coast path about 300m until you see the rock viewing platform for Tintagel Head. Go around and down this to the right and set up a 100m abseil and anchor rope (no anchors at top of actual crag). Abseil down the grassy slope to top of crag, and then down to the base of the crag itself.
Avoid bird nesting season.
