A multi-faceted mountain comprised of Torridonian sandstone. A few worthwhile summer routes have been recorded but it is in winter that the cliffs offer the best climbing.
The lower south-east nose and north-east cliff mainly provide mountaineering outings in the lower grades. Mainreachan buttress provides largely hard mixed climbing; while the south-east cliff has high quality ice climbs which are becoming mythical due to coming into condition rarely.
