Crag features

Foratata is a fantastically situated mountain peak on its own pedestal above the village of Formigal. The summit is a climbers peak as there is no 'walking' route to the top. On the approach lies the Foratata boulders, a great spot for bouldering and single pitch trad climbs.

Mat Dowsett has written an article on the boulders and can be found at: .

There is also a mini Rockfax guide to the area which can be found at: .

Approach notes

Foratata can be easily accessed from either Formigal or Sallent in the Spanish Pyrenees.
