Alfacar

Climbs 120 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude ? – Faces SW

Crag features
Mostly single pitch with a couple of multi-pitch routes. If you can get hold of the old photocopied Alfacar guide (possibly still available from one of the gear shops in Granada) then I'd recommend you do so, as it is far better than the new Andalucia book.

New info: A new Alfacar guidebook has been published and it's much better than the Munilla guide to Andalucia for this crag. I purchased mine in the Nivalis ski and mountain shop in Cenes de la Vega but I'm sure it will be available in other climbing shops in Granada such as the one on Plaza de la Romanilla. Volunteer to moderate Alfacar
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local crags. You would check updates and approve climbs added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. [ read more ]

The local mountain rescue have been busy putting up new routes on this crag according to local sources in Granada. Expect additional lines of bolts.
