Dog Buttress, Icart Point, Guernsey © Nathan Crab
A sea-level buttress giving good quality wall climbs at it's left-hand end and some tougher lines in the HVS-E1 bracket with steep starts in the centre. Many lines are non-tidal on neaps, but will then need an abseil approach.
Easiest way down to sea level is on the southern side.
Good topo here.
The path gets quite overgrown, ask someone from the GMC to show you the way down.
Note - Path completely overgrown as of 25 July 2023 and crag inaccessible. Suggest adding a petrol strimmer to your trad rack if you want to climb here.
No bird restrictions, but a fulmar has nested to the right of 'Seven Up' in recent years.
Path down to Dog Buttress completely overgrown and the crag inaccessible from the top. Suggest going down with a strimmer first if you want to climb. (18 July 2023) Barney Williams - 24/Jul/23 |
