This is a very quiet area of the forest and away from all the major popular areas, but within (reasonable) walking distance of the town. This is a very quiet area of the forest and away from all the major popular areas. At the top of the outcrop is a nice plateau with plenty of room to picnic.

The orange circuit was retraced in 2006, see for an up to date topo, that in Fontainebleau Magique is no longer very useful

Out of print:
The orange (AD-) circuit was 'retracé' a couple of years and the descriptions above & in 'Fontainebleau Magique' no longer correspond to the numbers (although its still possible to find the old circuit) Nice place, the circuit is mostly slabby, & seems to dry quite quickly. Always surprised that a circuit so close to the town is so little visited
