Crag features

A sandstone crag in a quiet sub-alpine setting. Even in early spring the south facing rock is often dry. The snow usually melts by May and does not return until November.

Approach notes

Approach - 15 minutes...
from the Inland Island Highway drive 14.5km up Strathcona Parkway (exit 130) towards Mt. Washington Alpine Resort. Park at the gravel road on your right, opposite two small lakes. The crag is uphill on the right (north). The trail which is marked by surveyor's flagging starts here and winds up the rockslide through the small conifers. Many of the routes are unnamed and are identified from left to right.

This crag has enough for a short day and when we visited the snow was still deep on the approach, but the crag itself bone dry. The birdlife and views were fantastic.
