Access notes
From the a697 Morpeth - Wooler road,800 metres N of the B6341 junction there is a bend with a minor road signposted "Thrunton Wood". Park about 200 metres from teh junction at a forestry road on the West. Follow the forestry road to just before the pylons. Trend right off the road and follow a slight depression under the pylons and then folow a path, up the hill and then contouring rightwards to the edge of the moor. Then follow the path to the top of the hill.
