Crag features

Cala del Moraig, developed totally from scratch in 2005, is a real DWS plum; an enchanting region of caves, crags, tunnels and leaning walls. It also harbours the hidden feature of the bizarre Secret Lagoon. You shouldn't find it too difficult to negotiate yourself around the place, with all routes within a 1km stretch of fairly quiet coastline. It even has a bar, a toilet and a nudist beach (in summer). The highest crag in the area is about 12m high - a textbook ideal height, with many of the region's S grades reflecting this.

Cala del Moraig is set around the central beach, with the coastline here providing you with something like a southeast aspect, although the crags themselves offer a variety of aspects, including late afternoon sun. To the southwest of the carpark you'll find the Jellystone Buttress, the Bruce Lee Buttress, the Secret Lagoon and the Firestarter Traverse, and to the northeast you'll discover the excellent Cave of Pets, the Spring Tide wall and the Hidden Beach area.

Approach notes

The access ladder seems to have fallen down. May well have shed a bit of rock as well so take care round there. The parking area has been repaired though.

Great little crag, wished I'd done more, but good and chilled, I look forward to going back in future!
