Ladybower Quarry Derbyshire, ENGLAND
Climbs 43 – Rocktype Grit (quarried) – Altitude ? – Faces SE
A relatively minor quarry, but with a sunny open aspect. The rock is clean and dries quickly. Most routes follow steep, clean cut cracks. The route of the quarry is The Rat (HVS 5b). Worth a visit, if only to finish off the evening in The Ladybower Inn.

Went there 3 months ago + was glad to top rope the HVS 5b in the middle of the crag. Felt more like sustained E1 especially with the rock being so friable!!!
While we were there, an owl flew out of a crack on the left hand side (a 1* HVS) so this would be worth avoiding.
Overall, an interesting place and was relieved to leg it up to Stanage End afterwards!!|
