This was once an impressive WW2 artillery battery - bring your big guns. The Lips Crag lies in a deep gully immediately below a shelter on the tip of the headland. It is accessed from a slabby area beyond the shelter.
Approach Brixham on the A3022 and keep left at the white toll house traffic lights. Turn left soon after at a brown sign to Fishcombe Cove. Follow the road through the village until a further brown sign and left turn leads immediately to a good roadside car parking area.
The boulder problems in Battery Gardens are approached on the right at the bottom of the hill.
