70m. The fifth rib/buttress from the right (i.e. from the path between Three Tarns and the Bowfell summit), including the short/broken buttresses on the right.

A short but enjoyable and exciting scramble, which requires careful route-finding to avoid more difficult (Diff - Severe) rock climbing. A rope is advisable, though experience is a greater asset.

Start at the foot of the rib, with tricky moves on small feet to gain more slabby ground. To avoid technical rock climbing on the wall above, traverse left over a boulder/spike to gain a small grassy ledge (taking care of loose stones). Traverse back right up a groove. Another technical wall lies above; again, avoid it by traversing about 3m left via tricky and exposed moves, to the left edge of the wall, where holds upward appear (be careful of loose rock). This takes you to another small ledge. From here, one awkward step remains before easier and more broken ground leads (with relief) to the top.
