Topographical overview of the area © FieldofBen
Multiple outcrops of rock and a few small boulders situated around Buckstones Jump.
The routes on the lip and buckshop corner are best climbed before the bracken re-grows.
Also, the ground around South slab can be boggy after rain and only dries out during a prolonged dry spell.
Approach from Rydal Mount takes approximately 30-40 mins depending on parking location.
During the summer months and sunny days this spot can get very busy with groups congregating to enjoy the sun, swim, and picnic. Although most routes are away from the busiest spot, be aware of this when planning your day.
