The rock is friable and loose holds abound, take care. Belayers should probably wear a helmet!
On the plus side the views of the northern Lake District are marvellous.
The quarry belongs to the local council and access has been arranged through the Lake District national Park, Please park sensibly on the verge adjacent to the road, do not block the gate.
Take care with loose rock - helmet recommended. jw - 24/Aug/11 |
