The quarry walls reach a height of 10 metres. There is some loose rock in places but on the whole the rock is good and very similar to Ravenswick down the road. There is less bouldering here compared to Ravenswick.
Park as for Ravenswick. Walk north up the road to a public footpath sign but instead of taking this on the road down into the valley, head off into the woods on the right. Less than 3 minutes from the car.
At present it is not known who owns the land but it may be owned by a local estate. No dogs as the surrounding fields and woodland are home to game birds.
Surprised Simon Caldwell hasn't climbed here.... Graham Booth - 23/Jun/16 |
