3143m. Access is made via a stony couloir to the Collet St. Robert which is located between the Cime St. Robert and the GĂ©las itself. At first go along the left (N) side of the ridge (this can be icy) then follow the crest up to a steep rise. Descend a crack to the L. then rock steps to a stony saddle separating the lower part of the ridge from the upper mass of the mountain. Follow the crest directly to a series of slabs which are climbed to a ridge and then to the summit.

L.Maubert with J.B. Plent 1892.
