Lone boulder in a beautiful location with sea views. Rock is generally good. There are however one or two areas that consist of a slightly friable and slatey texture. These should quickly settle down with use. Climbs are described from left to right as you move around the block starting at the short steep shelved wall.
Follow the main road for Pwllhelli. At the roundabout take the turning for nefyn/ pistyll. Almost immediately you enter the small village of llanealhern. Take the first turning up the hill on the right onto lon yr efail. Follow this narrow road until the mast is reached on the right. Park here sensibly as it is occasionally used by the local farmer. Walk down the road to a turning on the left. Go through the gate and follow the yellow arrows along the footpath rightwards across the fields through 3 more gates. At the bottom of a short descent of the path the boulder is visible over on the left.
Open access land. Public footpath runs past the boulder. Please respect the environment. Practice a no litter approach and try to remove any excess chalk. The local farmer is friendly and we need to maintain this good relationship.
