This is the collection of Dartmooresque tors at the head of the rather majestic Crowden Great Brook. They offer a few short routes, a great sense of isolation and a good bivy cave. Good quality moorland grit with scratchy rock, lichen and no signs of polish or chalk!
You can approach from the northern end of Laddow, or by following the brook from Crowden. This is the best approach, as you will be able to enjoy the meandering brook and the many pools. Going direct up the east bank via Bareholme is a bit masochistic.
Approach time: 75 mins
