Head up the Cogne road from Aosta until you reach Epinel village. Turn right and go down to the valley floor, park next to the sport complex. Cross the bridge and turn right along the wide track. Carry on until you cross the main drainage and a bridge, straight after this turn off left up a foot path, you will see the gorge ahead to the left, eventually cross into the river bed and walk up this until you meet the ice.
3 pitches, belay on ice. To descend either climb up to the left and then walk down easily to Epinel or go off right down through the trees to eventually meet the approach route.
