Mainly trad routes on good quality granite slab; Excellent beginner trad climbing area.
Due to being slightly inland it often has the highest temperatures during the early and late season allowing climbing to be done here when you can't go anywhere else.
Driving through Holyrood the crag is visible from the road on inland side. There is small area to park on the right hand side of a clearing directly in front of the face.
Follow a faint trail through the clearing and stay to the left and uphill side. Upon passing a small pond and reaching another clearing head past the right hand side of a large boulder and up the hill to the climbs.
The trail can be difficult to follow but you can see the crag the whole time so it is easy to make your way there without the trail if necessary.
Please note: The approach to this area is on private land, and its use is a privilege. Please respect the landowner. No littering, caming or cutting. Keep noise to a minimum, stay on the main trail and tread lightly on his property - especialy the fragile marsh areas.
