This is the left hand or west arete of the buttress.

Start in the gully between West and East Buttress at the foot of the arete. Climb up onto arete after a few feet one is forced to the right. The arete is regained by a small slanting crack and horizontal left traverse or more easily by the prominent crack running straight up the face. The arete is then followed up to the top. The upper pitch is stiff but not difficult.
