Parts dry quickly, other parts stay very wet(seepage) apart from midsummer. Best routes Hang em High(E5), Slobs(E1). Some routes wiped out in huge rockfalls over the last few years. Some routes would benefit from more traffic and some TLC, as well perhaps as a couple of extra bolts!
Roadside. Adjacent to Hodge close.
Its a shame that the lower graded sports routes are only half bolted, bolts missing or have dodgy old bolts. Could be a good venue for modest grade sports climbing if properly bolted! tomo100 - 21/Oct/09 |

It appears the left side of Parrock has seen some major rock fall/slides. There was a bolt on 'Master Blaster' actually inside the crack (showing slippage?) and the routes to the left appear to have disappeared leaving a large area of boulders. DaveWarb - 30/Aug/08 |

There are CONSTANT rockfalls in this quarry and Hodge Close next door. Whilst camping here I have heard many times what sounded like a decent sized peice of rock hit the ground/water. One memorable night the noise was massive.
Suggest you wear a helmet and study the top-outs carefully for suspect loose rock. Some areas are "safer" than others. climbingcritter - 02/Apr/07 |

I was there in August and in the all weather gym, I think there are some bolts missing. Big gym seemed to be missing it's 3rd (meaning you would deck out if fell near the lower off). "OAPs sport climb too" seemed to be missing it's lower off as well, but we didn't want to go and check ;-) squeek - 10/Nov/02 |
