I, 50m. Probably the single easiest and most accessible alpine route in this book, this really is as simple as alpinism gets. What this climb lacks in difficulty, it makes up with in views and tagging this ridge onto your day allows to you get an unrestricted look at the Dent du Géant, across to the Aiguille du Midi and down to the Envers des Aiguilles. From the Col des Flambeaux, traverse the snow slope on the left of the ridge and follow this until it rises gently to a small col. Continue up the 35 degree snowy ridge to the summit.
