Rocktype Granite
Altitude 762m a.s.l
Faces NW
A formidable looking pale granite tower stands out amongst the black choss found on all other peaks on this ridgeline. Incredible exposure on all sides provides exciting climbing on mostly good quality granite. The NW ridgeline offers the shortest route up the tower, with much longer cliffs dropping away to the NE and the S.
The NW ridge can be approached from the valley to the SW by taking a line NE up a steep slope in between two gulleys. From the loch, head to the base of the left gulley and scramble up vegetation until a thin green band allows you to cross the slabs. From here scramble up more vegetation, until you reach a flattening where the top section of the SE gulley crosses your path. Scramble up loose rock to the ridgeline then SE along the ridge, taking care to cross a loose gap, to gain a large ledge below the tower.
