Buttress overlooking the Dyffryn Crawnon valley. Part of Chwar-yr-Hendre quarry, Trefil quarries. Faces west and gets late evening light but exposed to westerly winds. Great views north and east over Powys. Approximately 15m high. Steep limestone face and crack climbs. Access in quarry hours 9-5(?) weekends as a gate is locked at Trefil no viable auto way in. Five trad lines and two bolted lines known. Routes left to right.
Approach via Trefil village due north of the Tredegar roundabout off A465 / Heads of the valley road. Buttress is 3 to 4 miles into quarries, on the right and just after passing through the narrows of Chwar-yr-Hendre. Pull in on the right. Crag visible below the road. Gate locked daily / do not get locked in. Hour walk in otherwise.
