'Avon Gorge non-Extremes' ticklist

As the original 'inner city crag', Avon Gorge has a lot to offer despite its less than scenic position. The rock is almost invariably sound and carries with it an ever-present feeling of commitment - be warned, protection is often sparse at best. Grades are stiffer than in many other nearby areas, so first-timers are advised to step down a grade or two. The main bulk of the lines lie in the upper echelons of the grade spectrum, which has resulted in the easier lines receiving a lot of traffic, with the inevitable glass polish as a consequence. Here are ten routes, ranging from all-time favourites, to some hi-gloss super-polished, urr, test pieces.
