Carlo Traversi has ticked another 8A+, this time a highball, Haroun and the Sea of Stories. Carlo comments in his 8a-scorecard: "4th go after trying it a few times about 2 years ago. Sustained, low in the grade. One of the best in the B-Milks." Some, like Carlo, say the problem is easy for the grade or even 8A, but what it lacks in difficulty it makes up for in hight it seems. Is there a tendency towards giving highballs extra points for hight? A danger bonus if you like?
I know this has, at least to some extent, been true for multi-pitch routes, but for highballs? No idea... Anyone?
