This weekend, the IFSC European Climbing Championships (Lead and Speed) 2019 will be held at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena in Ratho. The semi-finals and finals will be livestreamed on Eurosport, the BMC's YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Last weekend at the IFSC Lead World Cup in Kranj, Slovenia (UKC News), the GB team achieved four semi-final finishes, with Hamish McArthur earning his best ever senior World Cup result in 19th. Here's hoping for more strong results this weekend in front of a home crowd...

International contenders include Jessy Pilz (AUT), Anak Verhoeven (BEL) Mia Krampl (SLO) and Lucka Rakovec (SLO) for the women's title, and Adam Ondra (CZE), Jakob Schubert (AUT), Alberto Ginés López (ESP) and Stefano Ghisolfi (ITA) for the men's. Watch the Speed finals live on Saturday (3:30pm) and the Lead semis (8:25am) and finals (2:05pm) on Sunday.
