Hugo Parmentier has climbed Le Pied à Coulisse (f8C+), in Rocher Gréau, Fontainebleau, France. The boulder is his first of the grade.
Hugo told us that the ascent was 'the result of several years dedicated to bouldering. About 4 or 5 years ago, I started to work on my weaknesses in order to pass a step in the climbing I was the most used to (with the rope). It's a childhood dream to achieve an 8C boulder'.
It was a strong weekend overall for Hugo. The day prior to his ascent of Le Pied à Coulisse, he managed to flash Les Ombres d'Opaline, 8A+. It was his first flash at the grade.
