Brooke Raboutou flashes 8A+/B and 8A+Newsflash

© Matty Hong

Brooke Raboutou has made ascents of Nascondino, 8A+/B and Darkness, 8A+, both in Ticino, Switzerland.

Fighting against the bad weather, Raboutou found herself with limited time and attempts on both boulders - fortunately she was able to dispatch them both with just a single attempt each.

Raboutou's flash of Nascondino is a contender for hardest boulder flash of all time, with the slash grade setting Nascondino a half-grade above 8A+ flashes from Ashima Shiraishi, Charlotte André, and Janja Garnbret.

Whilst Raboutou came just short of an Olympic ticket at the Pan American Games, this has been arguably her best year on rock to date.

In addition to these two flashes, last month Raboutou made the second female ascent of Box Therapy, 8C, in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA. In doing so, she became just the sixth woman to climb the grade.

Awesome, she's on fire!

Maybe correct to spell her name right in the first line, and also I think you mean to say that this ascent is a contender for the hardest boulder problem flashed by a woman, rather than absolutely.
