Kenton and Clive were the first to the top in the 2004 season, along with Sherpas Pema Tshiring Sherpa and Pema Nurbu Sherpa, who opened the route above the Hilary Step. Kenton is currently in Camp 2 and planning to climb to the top again, with another Jagged Globe team member, Nick Brook (UK). Clive Jones is relaxing back in base camp, having descended from Camp 2 yesterday.
This is Jagged Globe's 8th expedition to the mountain, being the first British company to offer a commercial Everest expedition in 1993. On all 7 expeditions via the South Col route, team members have reached the top.
