The Mountain Company’s Pakistan Earthquake Relief Effort

“The UN has said 350,000 people urgently need shelter before the onset of winter and medical aid is still to reach many others living in remote areas” - BBC news, November 9 2005

The Mountain Company has teamed up with Cotswold Outdoor to co-ordinate the collection in the UK of second hand tents, sleeping bags and other warm clothes to be sent to the affected regions in Pakistan.

How you can help
We are making a request to anyone with suitable items that they would like to donate for the relief effort. Please bring down to your nearest Cotswold Outdoor store before the end of November for collection. As an incentive, Cotswold Outdoor will give you a voucher for 15% off your next purchase with them.

What to donate?
• Sturdy and robust hiking or expedition style tents & larger durable family camping tents.
• Sleeping bags.
• Warm & wet weather clothing including hats, gloves, thermals and polypro socks.
• Climbing rope. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL DONATED ITEMS ARE IN REASONABLE & USABLE CONDITION. Do not send:
• Lightweight clothing, old, lightweight or poor quality tents, old blankets, toys or gifts of any kind.

At any Cotswold Outdoor store in the UK.

When?
Cotswold Outdoor stores will be accepting collections from November 12 to November 30, 2005.
