Sunday 19 August - news flash
Due to persistent bad weather and extremely dangerous climbing conditions, BBC Scotland has reluctantly decided to abandon the Great Climb. We are sorry we couldn't bring you what would have been an amazing piece of television, but the risks were too great.
Please visit the site again soon. We will have yesterday's 30-minute programme available on demand and lots of videos about the Cairngorms environment, the work of the RSPB in the area, the climbers and the challenges faced by the team.
Thanks for your interest.
Regards, The Great Climb team
