Proof that this certainly is an unusually warm autumn keep coming in. At the Austrian high altitude (~2000m) bouldering area Silvretta, Anthony Gullsten has repeated Bernd Zangerl's Anam Cara, 8B+/C or so.
What's more, is that the Finnish teenager (for one more month) managed to pull it off in a single session.
About the grade, he agrees with Daniel Woods' suggested downgrade and says it felt like 8B+.
Being Swedish, I feel I have to mention the fact that all of the repeats of this problem this autumn (Daniel Woods, Guntram Jörg, Andy Gullsten) have come from guys who have visited this climbing mecca of the north for either the Västervik Boulder Meet or The Legends Only competition. Daniel and Andy actually attended both.
Soon, Andy will relocate to Fontainebleau. If the weather stays good there, I think we're in for an interesting winter.
